On the uselessness of insights
An insight by itself is useless.
Knowing something doesn't change anything. What you do about it does.
There needs to be a real need that your insight and action will solve. If a product only provides insights the value is very very very limited.
We seem to have an intrinsic tendency to believe on the value of an insight. The insightful person usually gets the label of a visionary.
To change things and change things for the better, there are two other aspects that are absolutely necessary to be in place. These are: 1. A need for change and 2. action!
While the insight gets all the glory, no one seems to take note that something only happens upon action.
